Understand why your child’s behaviour keeps happening — and what to do first
Behaviour-first support for parents dealing with aggression, hitting, sibling conflict, running off, bedtime battles, and other challenging behaviour at home.
The Behaviour Pattern Mapping System™ helps you focus on one main behaviour first, understand the pattern more clearly, and take practical next steps with confidence.

Clearer understanding. More focused support. Less guesswork.
When behaviour is affecting family life, it can be hard to know what is actually driving it.
You may have already tried advice, routines, consequences, rewards, or different parenting approaches, but still feel unsure why the behaviour keeps happening, what to prioritise, or what to do first.
The Behaviour Pattern Mapping System™ is designed to help you step back, look at the pattern more clearly, and identify practical next steps based on how the behaviour is functioning in your child’s day-to-day life.
This is not about blame. It is about helping you understand the behaviour more clearly, so you can respond more effectively.
Who BPMS™ is designed for
BPMS™ may be a strong fit if you are dealing with one main behaviour that is causing significant stress at home, such as:
- hitting, kicking, biting, or other aggression
- hurting younger siblings
- running off or unsafe behaviour
- intense bedtime battles
- behaviour that escalates quickly around demands, limits, transitions, or routines
- repeated patterns that feel confusing, exhausting, or hard to shift
BPMS™ is designed for parents who want a structured, behaviour-first process rather than vague advice or generic reassurance.
How BPMS™ works
1. Start with one main behaviour
We focus on the behaviour causing the biggest strain right now, rather than trying to fix everything at once.
2. Map the pattern
Using structured information gathering, behaviour tracking, and clinical formulation, we look at what tends to happen before, during, and after the behaviour.
3. Identify what to do first
You receive a personalised Behaviour Pattern Map with clear priorities, practical next steps, and recommendations tailored to your family’s situation.
4. Build change from clarity
Where appropriate, support can then continue into targeted coaching focused on reducing friction, strengthening replacement skills, and helping you respond more consistently.
BPMS™ is intentionally selective
BPMS™ is not designed to be the right fit for every family or every situation.
That is deliberate.
A good fit usually means:
- there is one main behaviour to focus on first
- the parent wants a structured, behaviour-first process
- telehealth support is appropriate
- the case is suitable for this kind of focused assessment and coaching approach
If it does not look like the right fit, I would rather be honest about that than suggest a process that is unlikely to help.
